Riga Business School as a structural unit of Riga Technical University announces the application for a new summer school “Future Changemakers Academy: Summer Edition”, designed for young people with a passion to become leaders and promote positive and sustainable change. This five-day summer school is designed to inspire and train the next generation of leaders. The programme will run from 12 to 16 August 2024, offering students in grades 9-12 a unique opportunity to become the future innovators in sustainable transport.
“Future Changemakers Academy: Summer Edition” is an exciting programme that will encourage young people to realise their leadership potential and develop the skills needed to tackle real sustainability challenges. During the summer school, young people will develop their teamwork skills, gain hands-on experience by visiting two industry-leading companies, Moller Baltic Import and airBaltic, participate in leadership workshops and design thinking sessions to test prototypes, culminating in presenting solutions to a panel of judges.

Participants of the summer school will get an exclusive experience by visiting Moller Baltic Import to explore the car manufacturer’s technical and training facilities, test drive the latest vehicles and learn about the company’s sustainability initiatives. The excursion will continue with a visit to airBaltic to see behind the scenes of the crew centre, watch aviation professionals at work and gain valuable knowledge from industry experts.
“Future Changemakers Academy: Summer Edition” includes expert-led workshops and hands-on learning. At the end of the programme, youngsters will receive a certificate of completion.
